Eckhart Tolle’s books when first came out about twenty years ago made a big splash in society, and people talked about the impact extensively. His most significant book in my opinion ‘Practicing The Power of Now’ is a pinnacle of the author’s offering.

First came Eckhart Tolle’s ‘The Power of Now’ which is a good book, but his ‘Practicing The Power of Now’ that came after was even better. For me it was a real eye-opener, and a surprise. Reading ‘Practicing The Power of Now’ is a transformative experience, listening to the author in an audiobook can be a spiritual one.

From the very moment the author begins reading his masterpiece you may get a feeling that it has a certain poetic flow to it, like an ancient sutra, while it feels authentic and fresh and unique at the same time. Each sentence is like a pearl that the author keeps stringing together in a perfect composition.

The author lovingly and patiently introduces the listener to the most secret and sacred parts of his own being, sheds light on the hidden from ordinary consciousness parts of ego that are rarely understood by conventional self. Eckhart Tolle is an unparalleled master of uncovering your deepest layers of self, your ego and its intricate functions. He taught me things about myself that I know I would never be able to figure out on my own, not in many lifetimes—for me it was truly Enlightening.

The subjects that Eckhart Tolle is masterfully dealing with are in fact very sophisticated philosophical topics which would possess a degree of difficulty in understanding for almost anyone. For best results a reader or listener of his books would require a total concentration of attention, and focus of mental clarity which is a meditation. Listening in a state of complete relaxation and focusing on a pure source, which is the author reading his creation in this case, would produce the best outcome.

Try it. Next time in a state of unbearable misery or negativity, lay down, calm your body and mind, and listen carefully to what he is saying. You may be blown away and your ego identity may get shattered in a light that will shine on the darkest corners of your ego’s realm, and expose it fully unprepared and stunned facing the truth.
